Set-Up Time ... is extremely fast. The entire system can be set up or taken down in just a few minutes.
Battery Powered ... with an expected battery life of 3-4 years. Some last much longer. All models are supplied with the REPLENISHABLE QUIZ-TIME POWERPACK. made up of ten 9-Volt Heavy-Duty batteries. Instructions for replenishing are on the carton under the light panel, and single cells can be purchased locally. How to Make Your Own Quiz-Time Powerpack
Connect 9-Volt Heavy-Duty batteries like diagram on carton. Cover ditch with wide tape. Turn battery over and snap red wire onto one end and black wire onto other.
Tape across black wire to hold it in the ditch.
Slide battery into carton and tape flaps to close.
* Note: One bare light and switch with instructions are in a packet under the light panel in every Quiz Box.

Seat Pads ... are assembled in Strings of 5 ... one string for each team, and all are interchangeable. The seat pads will lie on any type of chair or bench without needing to be fastened to them.
TO TEST LIGHTS, plug in strings, and turn on the Master Switch. One-by-one turn on each switch, or have each quizzer JUMP UP.
HANDHELD switches are in Sets of 5 ... and may be combined with Seat Pads. Quizzers PRESS and HOLD the button to turn on lights.
Inter-Connect Feature ... on all models enables you to join any unit with another if you wish to handle more quizzers at one time. A special Inter-Connect Cord can be Ordered from Quiz-Time Systems. Or You Can Make an I-C Cord by following the instructions below ...
How to Make Your Own Quiz-Time Inter-Connect Cord
Use two Standard 2-Conductor 1/4" Phone Plugs.
Use a 30-inch length of 2-Conductor cord with stranded wire #20 or larger.
Connect the plugs in parallel. That is, connect the tips together with one wire and the shank bodies with the other.
On one of the plugs install a 1/4" wide "collar" up next to the plastic handle. You can use a strip of adhesive tape to build up this collar.

The Control Panel ... is purposely designed thin (about 2 1/2 inches). This permits its use directly by the quizmaster if desired. The panel serves as a lid for the carrying case and is removable. Be sure to plug in Seat Strings or Handheld switches To Test Lights. See instructions above.
Remote Control ... is accomplished with the 18' Remote Cords provided. On Model AJ 250 a Double Cord that can handle two teams is used. On Model AJ 350 an additional Single Cord is used for the third team. On Model AJ 450 a second Double Cord is used. All cord are interchangeable. If just two teams are quizzing, simply store the additional cords. (See all Diagrams under Set Up Instructions.)
Warranty Is For One Year ... for all parts and labor. Because of the simplicity of design, repair is normally accomplished in the field with parts and diagnoses coming from the office. Overseas or Camp Orders ... require a lead time of 6-8 weeks. Overseas orders are usually shipped via UPS to a US address and then taken by plane when someone is flying there.
Orders through PayPal or the Postal Service are given an Invoice Number, and shipping is anticipated within 3-6 weeks. For UPS shipping, a physical street address is required instead of a PO Box number.
